Having read the other reviews, I originally bought a size 8, which was, according to the acceptable sizing guide, a puny smaller than my measurements.
It fit like a tent! Luckily, they were good about exchanging it for a size 4, which fits me well (37 - 28 - 39), although it's still not tight - there's fullness of room for sweaters, etc. I would propose buying this coat several sizes smaller than what you normally wear. It surely requires a smaller size than I normally wear in winter coats.
Other than that, I'm a bit mystified by other commenter's claim that the material is scratchy. It precisely isn't - I find it very soft and plush, and the silky lining is nice too. The coat is clearly very warm, warm enough that you can't wear it inside for more than a puny or two.
One caveat - the shoulders clearly have some kind of padding, so that the coat precisely looks broader/bulkier across the shoulders than it does in the photos shown here. If you want a precisely streamlined coat, this might not be your best bet. However, the broad collar folds up quite nicely, and if you tie a thick scarf colse to it, would keep out cold winter winds very well.
